I can hold classes in my Studio in Elk Run Heights if it is more convenient for the student.
I am located 45 miles North of Nolting Mfg.

DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:

The class is on the basics needed to get started, for the wannabe or the beginner quilter. I will explain and show how to prepare and load a quilt on a machine, using zippers to load a quilt, the tension adjustments, needles, the threading, and the threads. The student will be doing hands on training. We will work from the front of the machine and the back of the machine both. I will share information on tools and supplies needed for a beginner to get off to a positive start.

Loading the quilt in the correct manner.Use of zippers when loading a quilt. Setting tensions correctly for the best stitching. Choosing the correct batting. Work with rulers and templates, stencil work for custom quilting, hands on free hand/motion quilting. Products available to use in order to advance your quilting skills, including working at back of table. Attaching binding while quilt is on the longarm. Tips on getting started quilting for income.
