INTRODUCTION TO LONGARM MACHINE QUILTING CLASSES
It doesn't matter what brand of machine you own or are thinking about
purchasing, you can attend this class.
Held at: Nolting Mfg. (Hiawatha,
Iowa) or in Dancing Threads Studio
DESCRIPTION OF CLASS:
These classes are on the basics needed to get started, for the wannabe or the
beginner quilter. I will explain how to prepare and load a quilt on a machine,
the tension adjustments, needles, the threading, and threads, attaching the
bindings while the quilt top is on the machine, and some information on tools
and supplies needed for a beginner to get off to a good start. Students will
drive the machine with I/S and without.
Students will take home any samples that they quilt in class.
SPECIFIC DATES CAN BE REQUESTED
I am flexible in my schedule, so to better help anyone interested in classes I
will
schedule classes on dates that best fit the students schedule if at all
possible.
I will do one on one classes.
$150.00 per Student
Classes will be held 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (This is flexible)
One hour break for lunch. Students will be responsible for their own lunches.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Deposit of 50% of class fee for each class taken is due upon
acceptance of registration. Balance due upon arrival at the workshop.

Do I Wannabee a Longarm Quilter?
Teaching My Longarm to Do It All
Bev Sievers has been quilting/piecing for several years -longarm quilting for five plus years. She has been teaching for four plus years. She has taken several longarm classes from some wonderful instructors. She teaches at shows and also one-on-one at Nolting Manufacturing and in her studio. She also teaches classes on using the Circle Lord and Quilt EZ products in her studio. All classes held in herstudio are taught using a Nolting Pro or a Nolting Fun Quilter.
Do I Wannabee a Longarm Quilter?
This class covers the fundamentals of owning a Longarm. We will cover everything from preparing a quilt for quilting to finishing a quilt. If a student purchases a Nolting Machine during this show, they will receive the equivalent of class fee credit toward any Nolting Machine. Limited to 8 students. Two students per machine. Duplicate class #404.
Nolting Quilting Machines provided for this class.
Teaching My Longarm to Do It All
This will be a short demo of each technique, and hands on doing each technique. This class will cover all the fun techniques that you can teach your longarm machine to do. We will cover free motion quilting, template usage, stencil usage, attaching binding with the longarm and many products available on the mark et. After taking this class you will know what you want/need to shop for to get the most out of your machines. Nolting machines will be used in this class . If students purchase a Nolting machine during the show they will be credited their class fee towards the purchase of any Nolting machine. Class limited to 8 students. Two students per machine.
